Water Rafting Park - Seoul, Korea
A water rafting facility is being built near the Seoul World Cup Stadium in Sangam-dong, Muhwa Ilbo. City Mayor Oh Se-hoon made the announcement last week. The water rafting facility is part of the urban indoor ski resort that will take up approximately 3.3 million square meters near the football stadium. This is Korea's version of Disneyland. Completion date is set for 2010.
The park is divided into three activity sections tht include the indoor ski slope, a biking route and a performing arts center. The water rafting will be centered around the Nanji Stream that flows nearby.
Korea is currently bidding to host the 2014 Olympic Games. The IOC will be announcing their decisions this summer.
