The Great North...

Northern California Rivers

Klamath River
Class II-III; 3-6 days; Ideal for Families/Youth Groups

Legends walk through the land of the Sasquatch and the Klamath. Flowing from the Siskiyous to the Pacific Ocean, the Klamath, the longest undammed stretch of river left in California is a natural showcase of deep-wooded canyons, warm waters, sparkling side creeks and glimpses of wildlife. The Klamath is one of the most famous Northern California rivers and is broad and swift with consistently high flows throughout the summer months and is ideal for beginners and families. You can choose to paddle your own inflatable kayak or the new sit-on-top kayaks and become intimate with the Klamath.

Cal Salmon
Class V; 1-2 days; Experienced athletic users only

The Salmon is our extreme best. Pulsing with the spring snow melt, the river is clean, clear, swift and powerful. The steep canyon is overhung with verdant foliage and punctuated by small waterfalls and sidestreams in counterpoint to rapids llike Freight Train, Cascade, the Maze, the Fin and Achilles Heels. The Salmon is now a member of the Wild and Scenic River System and freely flows from the Salmon-Trinity Primitive Area into the Klamath River. We sometimes finish a trip by floating into the Klamath and running the Class IV "Ikes" section above Orleans.

Scott
Class V; 1 day or combo; Experienced athletic users only

Perhaps the least traveled river in the state, the Scott is like a cherished secret. The rapids are long and technically demanding. A companion to both the Klamath and Salmon, the Scott provides an added atraction to both. Combination trips with Cal Salmon and Klamath are available.

W.E.T. operates under permits issued by the Klamath National Forest.

W.E.T. is an equal opportunity service provider.
