From the Bay Area/Sacramento: Take Interstate 80 east from Sacramento. Take the Auburn-Foresthill Rd. exit and turn right. Take left on Lincoln and continue to Raley's Grocery Store. W.E.T. will meet you behind the parking lot of Raley's in the southern portion of the lot. Approximate driving time from the Bay Area is three hours...from Sacramento, 45 minutes. WHAT TO WEAR / WHAT TO BRING: Please dress accordingly. Wetsuits are recommended before June 1 or according to weather. We recommend a farmer john wetsuit w/a paddle jacket (waterpoof pullover) and booties. Under your wetsuit, it is advised that you wear a poly-synthetic long sleeve top such as synthetic fleece. DO NOT WEAR ANY COTTON CLOTHING. Wear wool or poly-synthetics on your feet with tennis shoes, cap or visor, sunglasses w/safety strap and SUNBLOCK! For summer months: Bathing suit, shorts with tennis shoes. Sunblock, visor, sunglasses w/safety strap. For overnight trips we suggest: tent, dry change of clothes for evening, towel, toiletries, flashlight, rain parka (for inclement weather), sleeping bag, ground cloth, pad and extra money for miscellaneous purchases. 30lbs limit Keys & Valuables: W.E.T. is not responsible for your valuables, car keys, etc. Please provide your own method of securing your car keys. We suggest a hide-a-key placed in an uncommon location on your car or secure your key and attach it to your belt loop. (No dangling strings allowed due to safety reasons) MIDDLEFORK must be between 1,000 cfs to 2500 cfs otherwise the trip is automatically moved to the South Fork American or North Fork American (based on group's abilities). TIPS & Gratuities: If you would like to tip your guide, tips of 15% - 20% is usually customary. Email us with your input regarding our guides. NOTE: No person will be allowed on the boats if they are impaired in any way by alcohol, drugs or violent behavior. No alcohol and/or drugs allowed on the rafts. No guns, radios, or pets, please. |
