California River Rafting Guides
W.E.T. ain't wet without our guides!

Experience : Our river rafting guides are educated & seasoned with rafting experience that ranges from 2 years to 25 years!

Qualifications : Guides are trained by our staff even if they worked with other companies prior to coming to W.E.T.! Why? Because we have specific requirements to uphold our standards of excellence.

Certifications: CPR & First Aid is a mandatory requirement for all of our guides. Further training is encouraged with Advanced First Aid, Swift Water Rescue, Emergency Medical Training, Wilderness Responder and guiding on Class V rivers.

Attitudes : W.E.T. guides have a strong sense of pride in executing each trip as if it was the first time. They bring a sense of wonderment and thrills to your trip; not a jaded, "...done-this-a-hundred-times" attitude!

Personalities : W.E.T. has long been known for having the best paddlers on a crew. Each personality gives their utmost for your enjoyment. Some of the guides are legends in the river industry. Their paddling skills have been sought by others to explore new rivers!

Past Guides: Some of our guides have continued on to career choices that include education, retail businesses, politics, art, photography, film, web design, marketing, and others. Guides are not the stereotypical, Hollywood-idea, hillbilly, backwoods paddlers from ancient history! They are educated, thoughtful and have carved a niche in society that exceeds your expectations.

Here's a glimpse into some of their lives:
Steve: principal of a High School
David: owner of 4 snowboard shops in No California
Erin: US Army Corp Engineers
Richard: art instructor
Rudy: photography business
Betty: marketing internet business
John: video media company
Tim: photography, design business

Jared: world famous kayaker, kayak rep

Jonny: mathematics educator
Jimmy: engineer, Intel
Jack: fine homebuilding contractor
Randy: adult vocational educator
Eddie: engineer, Cisco
Saul: Vice-Principal
Nathan: nurse
Vladimir: physicist, PhD
Zach: mathematics professor
the rest are still in college studying
for the day when they can start their careers!

We love 'em : So please, when you deal with the guides, don't assume that they are just a bunch of fun-loving knuckleheads! As a crew, W.E.T. is generous, unselfish, team players, strong & coordinated and they are #1 for you! We love 'em and we know that once you have rafted with W.E.T., you will be back !

CALIFORNIA RAFTING GUIDES
Read stories written by our guides! There are some really funny ones about some crazy trips and people! Click here for the stories.

Please note that many of these stories are private trips that the guides did themselves and may not be associated with W.E.T.

Here's a new story from a retired guide. It's a fiction combining several rafting trips in one funny rafting story!

Rafting in the snow! Unbelievable... Guides can be so wacky sometimes... they just couldn't wait for the snow to melt so they bombed down the hill anyway!

Cold, but smiling!
