In California, the permitted outfitters are regulated by CA State Parks, Bureau of Land Management, US Forest Service and others. These agencies oversee our industry to ensure the public that the outfitter is insured and licensed.

If you have booked a river trip, ask about their permit. You can also check with the agencies to verify that the outfitter is licensed.

W.E.T. also recommends that you call the outfitter's office and start a dialogue. Remember, you want the best possible experience and it is up to you, the consumer, to research carefully who is taking you down the river! OR just call us for your rafting trip.
