ITINERARY for South Fork American
Typically meet at 9:00 or 10:00 am at Camp Lotus downstream from Coloma State Park just east of Sacramento, California off of Hwy 50 at the Shingle Springs exit. From there, we will travel to the put-in site at Chili Bar Reservoir for the One Day Chili Bar run or for the Two River Run. If you are on the Gorge, we put-in at Camp Lotus and begin there. You will be required to listen to a safety talk. And then it's on to the river! Brace yourself while you navigate with our professional guides a bumpy section of Class III rapids. Lunch is served along the river while you relax on the shore. If you are camping with us, we camp at Camp Lotus, a full service campground on the river. South Fork American River is in the Coloma-Lotus Valley. 2007 American River Rafting starts March 17th!
ITINERARY for Middle Fork American
Typically meet at 8:00 am at the Raley's Grocery store at the Auburn-Foresthill Road exit off of Hwy. 80 just east of Sacramento, California. From there, we will travel to the put-in site at the Middlefork American. After donning helmets & lifejackets, you will be required to listen to a safety talk. And then it's on to the river! Brace yourself while you navigate with our professional guides a section of class III rapids preparing ourselves for Tunnel Chute rapid! A section of Class II brings us to our lunch stop and is served along the river while you relax on the shore. We continue through class III & IV rapids to finish the trip around 4:30 pm. Two-day trips cover the same section at a slower pace & encompasses side hikes. YOUTH GROUPS who participate on W.E.T.
