One day is just never enough to truly enjoy what rafting has to offer. Join us on this two day trip and let us take care of all the details! This trip includes 2 days of rafting, 1 night of camping, 4 meals and an adventure you will never forget.

Itinerary

Day 1:

Arrival: You will meet us at 9:30 AM at the private Camp Lotus campground, where you’ll meet your guide and be outfitted with everything you need to enjoy your trip, including paddles, life jackets and helmets.

The River: You’ll enjoy some of the most fun rapids and beautiful views the American River has to offer. Along the way, we’ll stop for a gourmet deli lunch served riverside.

Off the Water: You will return to Camp Lotus between 2 and 3 PM where you will have a chance to enjoy the beautiful campground. Tents can be provided free of charge, just let your guides know how many you would like. Then relax by the river and utilize Camp Lotus showers and other amenities while your guides prepare a filling dinner to be served later in the evening.

Day 2:

Morning: Wake up to coffee and following soon after a full breakfast including eggs, bacon, hash browns, and orange juice. Enjoy at a leisurely pace and ready yourself for your second day of rafting.

The River: The second day on the water your adventure starts at about 11AM. Enjoy a calm class II section of whitewater before plunging into The Gorge. Experience amazing class III rapids such as Fowler’s Rock, Haystack Canyon, Satan’s Cesspool, and Hospital Bar.

Off the Water: After your whitewater adventure enjoy a cool beverage and board transportation for a short trip back to Camp Lotus where your journey ends.

This phenomenal trip begins by meeting us at 9:30AM, to be shuttled up to the top of the river canyon. There you will be outfitted with all the necessary river gear and given a safety orientation by one of our highly trained guides. Before tackling the Chili Bar section on the South Fork of the American River. Stopping for a freshly prepared lunch along the river and getting to camp around 2:30PM. Giving you time to get situated in camp and enjoy the beautiful grass fields and swimming/fishing holes at camp, before being served a luxurious meal complete with appetizers, beverages (both sangria and non-alcoholic), entrees and dessert. Camp out under a thousand stars before waking to a complete breakfast including coffee, tea and orange juice, hash browns, eggs, sausage and fresh fruit. Then as the sun warms the day we get back into our rafts to enjoy the lower (Gorge) section of the South Fork. Finishing at Folsom Reservoir and getting shuttled back to your cars arriving back at your vehicles usually around 5:00PM.

Most frequent questions and answers
  • Secure footwear; old tennis shoes or sturdy sandals with heel straps such as Tevas, Keens, and Chacos. NO FLIP FLOPS OR BARE FEET!
  • Swimsuit or shorts and T-shirt to wear on the rafts.
  • Sunglasses with neck strap (Please be sure to bring a neck strap for any glasses you plan on wearing on the raft.)
  • Sunscreen and lip ointment
  • Water bottle
  • Waterproof camera (optional)
  • Light cap or visor (optional)
  • Any medicines you require (please contact us beforehand to ensure we can accommodate any needs)
  • One professional, talented, and possibly humorous river guide
  • White water raft (Crewed by your provided guide at all times)
  • Personal Flotation Device (Life-jacket)
  • Helmet
  • Paddle
  • Other required safety equipment
  • Wetsuits an paddle jackets may be required at additional cost during cooler months and are available upon request in warmer months.

Please feel free to bring whatever items you would like to leave in your car for retrieval after the trip. Camp Lotus features hot showers available for your use.
