Had Lucas as our raft guide and we had so much fun! Lucas is from Chile and taught us Spanish on the water (Adelante! Alto!). As a language lover, this was a lovely experience as we were paddling through still parts of the river. He did a tons of additional service for us and made our day on the water a memory that will be kept with us for a long time! Thanks Lucas! One note about this company is that their lunches are waaaaay better than the sandwiches you get from the other companies

Our rafting trip with Wet Rafting Company was absolutely incredible, all thanks to our guide, Abby! She was exceptionally experienced, which made everyone in the boat feel completely safe and confident, even when hitting the biggest rapids. Beyond her top-notch skills, Abby brought the best energy and made the entire trip so much fun. If you want a guide who is professional, knowledgeable, and a blast to hang out with, look no further. We will definitely be back and requesting Abby again!

Amazing trip the entire river one day with Madison she was great so knowledge about the river give me so many tips for my trip in costa rica coming up she was great we did have a Amazing time thank u guys, a special mention to the guy with 100 sunglasses the one a only Ant!!! We have a great time with our guide Walker today! Group of six, no unplanned flip / swimming / surviving 😂 Walker is very experienced and gives clear instructions to maneuver through rapids at the same time enjoying them the most (like those rapid surfings!!). A shout-out to John our driver too! Thanks for making our summer adventure awesome 👍🏻 will come again!

We went for a 5 hour tour of the South Fork section with WET River Trips, that was 2 adults and a 7 year old. We had the best time! Our guide Abby was very friendly and knowledgeable, and took great care of us during the trip.
Communication before the trip was really easy, we felt well prepared. Overall a great experience, we would absolutley recommend booking a trip with WET!

Wir machten eine 5-stündige Tour durch den South-Fork-Abschnitt mit WET River Trips, 2 Erwachsene und eine 7-Jährige. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit! Unsere Führerin Abby war sehr freundlich und sachkundig und kümmerte sich während der Tour großartig um uns.

Took the family and cousins on the South Fork half day trip. What a blast! Spent many years in Sac, and never knew the river was so amazing! Gorgeous. Everyone had a great time. And Drayson was a great guide. Very knowledgable about everything we needed to know and clear in his instructions. Actually, everyone at H20 is super nice. Special shout out to Maya!

We’re locals to the El Dorado County area and have rafted these rivers more times than I can count. We’ve been going with WET since at least 2011, probably even longer, and they are who we choose year after year because they truly are the best of the best.
The guides at WET are absolute river gurus. They know how to make every trip incredibly fun while never compromising safety. Over the years, they’ve come to feel like family, and they have always treated us the same way.
This year’s trip was especially meaningful. My dad is the person who instilled my love of rafting in me, and at 82 years old, he wanted to get back on the river again. Ants was incredible with him. He made sure my dad felt safe and comfortable, but he also didn’t treat him like an 82 year old who needed to sit on the sidelines. He encouraged him to step up, participate and feel like an important part of the boat. My dad absolutely rocked it, and watching him out there was something I’ll never forget.
We did the Middle Fork, which is my personal favorite, and WET once again made the whole experience special. I love all the little extras they bring to a trip: the great meals, picking fresh fruit along the way, and finding creative ways to experience the rapids. Rodeo rides, surfing, running rapids backwards...they always manage to make a river we’ve done many times feel like a new adventure.
Every trip I’ve booked with WET has been incredible. We go almost every year, and after well over a decade of rafting with them, there’s still no other company I’d rather trust with my family on the river.
WET has our loyalty for life. ❤️🚣

We did the 8 hour, middle fork, rafting trip with WET River Trips, and it was such awesome! Antz (Anthony Hobern) was our guide, and he made the entire experience an absolute blast. It's was super cool how much he enjoys being a guide and all of the tricks and history he shared with us about the fork we were on. He was also very clear with all of his safety instructions which certainly put my mind at ease as I was a bit nervous about the experience. As long as you pay attention and listen to the guides instructions you'll have a great time. All in all, it was amazing and I will definitely be repeating in the near future!

Had a great time doing the Middle Fork rafting. Logan was our guide and he's the best! Very chill and passionate about the water. I came out thinking that it wasn't very difficult, then realizing that false sense of confidence was only because our super experienced guide Logan was giving proper instructions -- otherwise I would have been tossed on the first wave. Maddie checked us in at the meeting site and was very friendly. I felt like she was actually glad we were there and not just another chore to check off on a list. Our driver (sorry, forgot her name) did a great job, as well. Apparently she had to change a flat tire on the van, so I very much appreciate her hard work in that hot sun. The staff with WET River Trips is absolutely awesome, so if you're debating on which company to go with, you will not regret this one!

Highly recommend WET Rafting, and especially Mike as your guide! There was never a dull moment, and Mike kept us entertained the entire trip. He made sure we got the experience we were hoping for while also sharing his knowledge of the river along the way.
The four hours flew by, and Mike did a great job making sure everyone was comfortable, safe, and taken care of throughout the trip. We had an awesome experience and would definitely come back again!

We did the 4-hour rafting trip with WET River Trips, and it was such an amazing experience! Mike (Jersey Mike!) was our guide, and he was absolutely wonderful. If you have to spend four hours on a raft with someone, he’s definitely a top pick! 😂
I was the only person in our group who couldn’t swim, so I made sure Mike knew ahead of time. I sat toward the back of the raft and felt extremely safe the entire trip with both our group and our guide.
When we hit our first big rapid, I felt my body literally catapult out of my seat. Before I even had time to panic, Mike grabbed my life vest and pulled me right back down so I didn’t fall out of the raft! 😂 That definitely made me feel like I was in good hands.
For being on the river for four hours, the rowing really didn’t feel strenuous at all. Mike did an awesome job leading us, steering the raft, and making the whole experience fun. No one fell out, and everyone had a great time!
I’m a VERY scared and cautious person, so the fact that I had this much fun says a lot! 😂 I would absolutely do it again and would definitely recommend WET River Trips, especially Jersey Mike!

This is the operator you should pick to go whitewater rafting on the American. Abby was the best guide ever, she managed to keep all four of us in the boat and still hold a fun conversation.
The team provides sandwich makings for lunch (meats, cheeses, tomatoes, guacamole, chipotle aioli, hummus, etc) which in the middle of a full day on the South Fork was a gourmet experience. Plenty of great rapids, saw an osprey and a fawn on the riverbank, jumped out multiple times to swim, and even got to swim some of the rapids.
Consider wearing long sleeves and pants, the sun will get you. The South Fork is exciting and beginner friendly, just prepare to be sore the next day with some good memories.

Highly recommend rafting with WET. They are family-owned and operated. We did the south fork/middle fork 2 day combo with camping. Our guides Walker and Logan were experts that kept us safe and having fun. Walker cooked us a great dinner and brownies for dessert to fuel our last day of rafting.

First time rafting this river, what a fun experience! Accommodated a group of 8 of us. Our kiwi guide Mike was wonderful! He was very informative and gave clear expectations and safety processes. Very organized company from start to finish. I suggest staying with the four hour tour, it was plenty of time. Bring larger disposable water bottles for each, and one sunscreen. The rafts have two medium mesh bags to accommodate. Highly recommend
