You will meet us at 10 AM at the Indian Valley Campground in Tahoe National Forest, where you’ll meet your raft guide and load into our shuttle vehicle for the trip to the put-in. At put-in you will be outfitted with the rafting gear you will need to safely enjoy your trip, including paddles, life jackets and helmets.
You’ll enjoy the most fun rapids and beautiful views the North Fork Yuba River has to offer. Along the way, we’ll stop for a gourmet deli lunch served riverside.
You will be returned to your starting point between 4:30 and 5:30 PM.
There are several Class 4 & 5 sections on the North Yuba River (Goodyears Bar, Moss Canyon, Wild Plum, Rossosco Ravine & Bullards Bar). This river is uncrowded (only 3 rafting companies) and provides spectacular wilderness scenery and continuous whitewater excitement.
Depending on the river level, weather & guest ability we may run a different section of the river, but the most popular section & the 1 we run the most is Goodyears Bar (aka Maytag).
The Goodyears (Maytag) Bar section starts with some warmup Class 2 & 3 rapids which leads you into several Class 4 & 4+ rapids, plus the Class 5 Maytag rapid after lunch.
WET River Trips operates under permit from the Tahoe National Forest Yuba River Ranger District and is an equal opportunity service provider.
