I have been rafting several times and this particular trip with WET was fantastic, especially since I had my two young kids with me for the first time. It was small and personalized. Not the huge flotilla of rafts that you get with the giant companies. We went at our own pace and I just can’t say enough. Our guide was EXCELLENT. I would not hesitate to book with WET again. We saw numerous other boats in trouble and our trip down the river was flawless and safe. It is not often that I write a review like this!!

I just finished a day tour with this company for a group of 10 friends, and I have to say we had an awesome time.
The registration process was a breeze. I worked directly with the manager Chad. He gave me the rundown and all the info I needed. I got all my friends booked seamlessly.
The rafting trip itself was awesome. We went on the middle fork with a bonus class V rapid. Our guides made us feel safe at the same time offering us all the adventures we could ask for. They were well prepared with walkie-talkies and definitely knew what they were doing. They helped other groups who had lost their rafts. Plus, they offered us a killer spread for lunch. My sandwich was two inches thick with amazingness.
This is my third time with the group and I haven’t been disappointed yet. I highly recommend going with W.E.T. If you want to have a great time!

If you’re looking to do some white water rafting and can’t decide which company to choose, trust me when I say that the only way to go is WET! Everybody that I dealt with my whole time from planning the trip to the trip itself, and the time spent after the trip, were the nicest and most accommodating people I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We did their North Fork Class IV+ trip, all of us were first-timers and our guide was very patient with us and we had a great time, being able to jump in and spend time floating alongside the rafts during the calm parts of the river and tackling some exhilarating rapids. A fantastic lunch was also provided about halfway through the trip in which we used the underside of one of the rafts as the serving table. We had a group of 10 people all between the ages of 21-30 and everyone had a blast, even to the point where during the dinner we had afterwards we were already planning on doing a 2 day trip this summer, with WET of course! Special shout-outs to our guides for being awesome people. Can’t wait to see everyone again this summer!

My boys and I have rafted the American River with 3 different rafting companies. WET is by far the best. They are the smallest, most personable, most chill, and their guides are the most willing to let you dictate the speed and adventure level of the day. I always feel like the WET guides are working to make the experience what I want for my family. With the other companies, I felt like we were just along for the experience they planned and there was no deviating or personalization of the day allowed. We also like WETs lunch the best. Simple but delicious. We will never raft the American with anyone else again. Honestly, I cannot recommend WET more highly.

This was the best water rafting trip with my family. From the time we arrived at the campsite the staff was fantastic. Very attentive and every need was fulfilled. Extra praise and gratitude to staff member who helped get our campfire going and the BBQ pit. Thank you to our guide for being our guide and making the rafting trip you made it the best trip ever. What an amazing time we had on the river with WET! I went with a group of five, we were on a team-building trip for our marketing department. We went the last week in June 2018.

I was totally impressed with this company and especially our guide! Our guide was a super cool guy from New Zealand. He lives in the foothills of CA now and he is a fantastic guide.

We had a group of three boats, and from what I could tell, the other two guides were super cool as well. They were all funny, outgoing, chill, and also super knowledgeable. I felt safe every moment of the trip.

Our guide was amazing. He asked us from the start how we wanted to experience our trip. Did we want to have a chill time, a middle-of-the-road experience, or a super scary but still safe time. We chose middle of the road. He delivered. We had plenty of thrills but felt safe the entire time.

What a value! For about $130 a person (we tipped $20 per person) you literally spend all day on the river and also have a great sandwich lunch on the river. It is a great lunch… and on the river, it blows you away how delish it actually is! Forget amusement parks, sky diving, bungee jumping… etc… this is the best bang for your buck by far!!!

Anyhow, I will return with my daughters and wife. I will likely book the overnight trip!

5 stars for the whole gang at WET! These guys run a great tour regardless of your experience level. We’ve grown from 1st timers to experienced amateur rafters and we always have a blast on the raft, during lunch and camping. The American River is a beautiful place to experience nature and get a wild ride on a raft through some amazing class III – IV+ rapids!

We also appreciate the professionalism and safety-first mentality of the guides and company, not to mention the humor and fun attitudes. On these trips, you’ll learn a ton about the river and can also get some great tips on traveling abroad for other great rafting and outdoors experiences. A trip with WET is a tradition that my wife and our friends look forward to continuing. The river is never the same and there are several different routes and trips that you can plan so that it never gets old.

Best White Water Rafting Adventure in California

I’ve done rafting with these guys a couple of times and each time I never get disappointed. Their crew is very friendly and very accommodating. Their raft guides are super professional and knowledgeable. They always make the right calls while rafting and that makes the activity more adventurous. Additionally, they give you a brief history about the location and the Gold Rush era which makes the rafting even more fun. Their pricing is good in comparison to other companies in the area. I’d definitely recommend choosing Wet River for your next rafting trip!

July 4th, 2019 marked the 4th year in a row my son and I have had a father-son rafting trip and all with WET. We have brought with us a different set of friends each time. All have been blown away by how much fun rafting is and made possible by the folks at WET. These guys are a small company, love what they do, and it shows

Great organization, great people

I have put together a Middle Fork rafting trip for the last 5 years to go with for an annual campout in Coloma. I have had first-timers, kids, and experienced rafters. I’ve used WET for the last 5 years. Great office staff, they pick up the phone when you call. If I need something it is emailed right away. And the guides are great – very capable. The lunch is as good or better than other companies I have used – and I have gone rafting for over 30 years on the American River.

I’ve seen many first-timers go with them – they always have a great time. Can’t go wrong with WET.
