5 Star Company!

This is our second year in a row doing a big family/friends rafting trip. WET River Trips is by far the best company to work with. Between the front desk operations, the owner, and the guides… it is a 5-star experience. We had a group of 30 rafters and they coordinated perfectly with us. The trip was amazing, the sites were beautiful and they even let us stop and cliff jump at some safe spots. We will definitely be back next year!!!

this review is long overdue! I’ve been down the middle fork 3 times now with WET and each time it only gets better. the guides are always amazing and make the trip so incredibly fun. They’re the real highlight of each trip. the lunch provided is also great and the rapids of course never disappoint. wouldn’t ever choose a different company to raft with.

We were with a large group of 28 people wanting to raft together on the 4th of July long weekend, so we did our research on all the local companies that offered South Fork 1/2 day tours. WET was the most accommodating, friendly, professional, and the best-priced in making the upfront arrangements. We were even camping at the American River Resort which claims to have the largest, most established rafting operation there, but after trying to deal with their team we decided it would be worth forgoing the convenience of leaving from our camp to go with WET. We could not have been happier that we did. Especially since we had other issues with ARR, from the camping perspective (I highly recommend reading the reviews of the actual campground and not just the rafting tours before camping there). Next time I’d go with Camp Lotus where WET is based, but not stay in their section and make our own camping arrangements.

WET’s great service did not lag on the day of arrival. All four of our rafts (groups of 7-8) had a thrilling experience, and none of us could stop gushing about our guides. They were simply awesome. Clearly pros, with great instruction for any novice.

These reviews are consistent for a reason. I will not go to another company on such a trip to the American River.

After “safer at home” for 4 months, we ventured out to the Sierra Foothills for some Nature RX. The Wet River trip was just what we needed to beat the corona blues while practicing social distancing. It was so enjoyable that we went back for a second trip with another family.

As first-time rafters, we chose the Class III full-day trips – the Chili Bar and the Gorge. We preferred the Gorge trip as we liked starting with calmer rapids and ending the day with stronger, more thrilling rapids. The Chili Bar is the opposite. The sandwich bar lunch was delicious and had something for all palates.

Our river guide was awesome! He is not only an experienced rafter and outdoorsman, but he is also a talented youth mentor. I highly recommend this experience for anyone with kids who have become depressed and resistant due to extended time on social media and video games. They will remind them what it means to have fun outdoors, educate them on river ecology, and help you reinvigorate your family’s unity and morale.

The company is wonderful. They know customer service!!! From the booking process all the way to the end of the White Water Rafting trip. We had a great time. The team made safety a priority and the entire process of getting your gear, etc. was seamless. Our guide was fun and very knowledgeable. We had a day we will never forget and look forward to coming back again next year.

That was an amazing experience. Everybody at Wet River Rafting were so organized and professional, worked together efficiently, and were fun, patient, and caring. Our raft guide was wonderful and guided us through Tunnel Chute and much more without falling into the water. We weren’t easy – new to this, even a little bit terrified, after being coach potatoes for so long and not very good with quickly responding to instructions, but he was patient, calm and we felt we could trust him and relax – he definitely knew what he was doing! He was easy to talk to, sweet, funny and it was obvious how much he absolutely loved what he was doing and that was contagious.

We had a great time and will definitely do that again with W.E.T!!!!

Top notch! WET Was less expensive but had better guides, food, and overall experience. Our guides were helping the guides from the other outfitters. Just more experience and professionalism from WET all around.

They might be a smaller company but they offer MORE than the bigger rafting companies along the AMERICAN River Gorge! If you are doing a last-minute plan to do this super fun and safe activity for your family call this company! They answer calls 24 hrs a day, unlike most companies that close down at 6 pm! Their rates are super competitive-NO NEED FOR GOUPON! Their equipment is tops in the area and they make sure everyone has a vest and helmet and they have pouches to put your water bottles and other stuff. They have a photographer for professional photos that you can use for your profile picture on all social media sites! Now let me rate these guys who made it more fun and safe for us (first-timers). Very professional, well-experienced, wacky, and accomodating local guys who basically grew up in the Gorge.. we had so much fun and they allowed us to do activities in the water that other companies will not offer!! Our guide made us look like PROs after we hit those big waves and drops that we wanted to upgrade to class 4&5!!! If u are looking for more fun, thrill, and adventure, these guys and this company is the best option! This is the time also to help and support small businesses!! THANK U MUCHO W.E.T.!!

I have never had so much fun in my life!! I went yesterday with 3 of my friends. Our guide was AMAZING! I swear he kept us sooooooo safe and knew when to step things up or down. He figured out our comfort levels so fast. He was soooo good! The company is great and answers your questions and the food is amazing too! I don’t know how they run such a great company! But it’s amazing. I was terrified and convinced I was going to die and now I can’t wait to do it all over again!

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value

I have gone with W.E.T. twice now and both times have been absolutely amazing! First off the view, the vibe, and the experience are just so beautiful, both relaxing, but action-packed at the same time. Especially coming from the Bay Area, it’s so nice to just get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and be in nature. We actually tried the class 3 and 4 our first-time river rafting and while it was a blast, if you are sitting in the front you should expect to be underwater a third of the time. Our second time, we did a two-day trip for class 2 and 3, which was much easier than our first experience, so if you are very new to river rafting, I would recommend going with a lower class first and working your way up.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOING A TWO-DAY TRIP! This comes with two full days of river rafting with all your meals included! Lunches, you park your raft by the river to enjoy making your own sandwiches, and dinner (first day) and breakfast (second day) are made by your tour guide in their outdoor kitchen. For dinner, we had BBQ chicken and steak with a veggie pasta (veggies picked from their garden!). I mean… talk about not only a lovely campground with full working showers and toilets but a delicious home-cooked dinner! I was very impressed. You then sleep in tents they put together for you and wake up to eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, and coffee.

The best part is honestly the employees. I swear I called Krista on a regular basis to ask questions and request things and she was always such a joy to talk on the phone with and did everything she could to make sure our trip was nothing but perfect. We were even told by our tour guide; Krista reminded him multiple times to make sure all our wishes were taken care of. Our tour guide both times was just an all-around funny and entertaining guy. He really made the trip such an awesome experience where we could joke and laugh when the water was calm, and then be such a great instructor and kept us safe when the waters were tough.  Also the best camping chef ever?

I have only gone with W.E.T. for river rafting and I don’t see myself trying out any other company since W.E.T. really knows how to make sure you have an amazing time.
